I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Epidemiology at the Robert Stempel College of Public Health and Social Work at Florida International University, expected to defend my dissertation in Winter 2026. I am a recipient of the NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) F31 Predoctoral Fellowship and the 2024 Susser-Stein Award for Methodological Excellence from the Society for Epidemiologic Research.
My research focuses on health disparities, infectious disease epidemiology, and population health analytics, with a particular emphasis on COVID-19 outcomes, HIV treatment effectiveness, and health equity in underserved communities. I apply advanced statistical and causal inference methods — including difference-in-differences, inverse probability weighting, survival analysis, spatial epidemiology, and machine learning — to large-scale administrative and surveillance datasets.
I bring over ten years of combined scientific experience spanning clinical laboratory science, public health surveillance, and federally funded epidemiological research. I am passionate about rigorous methods, reproducible science, and translating complex analytical findings into actionable public health insights.
